The Stomach and Bellybutton has become a place of great focus over the past few decades. Since the early 90s more and more people have decided to adorn their bellybuttons with rings, piercings and tattoos. This fits in with many different fashions that have come and gone, namely midriff baring tops, low-rise jeans, bikinis and shirtless guys.
Baring bellybuttons, once upon a time was something that you would see everywhere you looked, but recent fashions have dictated that they are now kept covered in favour of baring the lower abdomen. Shame...
So, this section pays homage to the millions of people who have adorned their abdomen with a decoration, be it for self expression with metal, ink, henna for fun, temporarily or permanently.
